Violence Against Women and Girls Programme 2016-17

Applications are now welcome for the Violence Against Women and Girls Funds outlined below.  Closing date for all applications is Wednesday 16th March 2016.

Violence Against Women and Girls Fund (VAWGF)

The Scottish Government’s Violence VAWGF aims to assist the development of measures to tackle all forms of violence against women and girls. These measures may include projects that build capacity in local partnerships to strengthen responses to violence and abuse, which deliver frontline services, or which focus on prevention and early intervention.Third sector organisations with legal status are eligible to apply, for example, charitable incorporated organisations or organisations which will be incorporated at 1 July 2016, community interest companies, and social enterprises.  Partnerships which include public sector bodies can also apply, as can individual public bodies. 

 

Funding is available for 12 months, from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017, for projects which contribute to achieving the VAWGF outcomes. 

The fund outcomes are:

  1.  The harmful effects of violence and abuse against women and girls are minimised due to an increased focus on prevention.
  2.  The harmful effects of violence and abuse against women and girls are reduced due to the provision of early interventions and appropriate, high quality services.
  3.  The harmful effects of violence and abuse against women and girls are reduced due to services working together to maximise their effectiveness.
  4.  The harm to women and children with protected characteristics and other vulnerabilities is reduced through increased inclusive service provision.
  5.  Service design and delivery is improved as a result of the participation of women and children affected by violence and abuse.

Children’s Services Fund (CSF)

Applications for this fund are invited only from those organisations currently receiving funding under the CSF 2015-16. Currently funded organisations need to be incorporated in order to be eligible for funding. If you are still in the process of incorporating, this process needs to be completed by 1 July 2016.

Funding is available for 12 months, from July 2016 to June 2017, for projects which contribute to achieving the CSF outcomes

Applicants must demonstrate that their project outcomes will contribute to the following two CSF outcomes:

  1. The harmful effects of experiencing domestic abuse are reduced by children and young people receiving therapeutic support.
  2. Services for children and young people experiencing domestic abuse are improved through the participation of children and young people.

Rape Crisis Specific Fund (RCSF)

Applications for this fund are invited only from those organisations currently in receipt of funding under the RCSF 2015-16. Currently funded organisations need to be incorporated in order to be eligible for funding. If you are still in the process of incorporating then this process needs to be completed by 1 July 2016.

Each applicant can apply for a maximum of £50,000.

Funding is available for 12 months, from July 2016 to June 2017, for projects which contribute to achieving the CSF outcomes

Applicants must demonstrate that their project outcomes will contribute to the following two RCSF outcomes: 

  1. The harmful effects of sexual violence are reduced by survivors being able to access appropriate, high quality services from local rape crisis centres.
  2. Services for survivors of sexual violence are improved through the participation of survivors.
